NTP Query failed

Configured NTP Server List  10.152.111.42;10.136.11.115

Irgendwelche IdeeN?  FOS ist 6.2.1b

From Brandy,

Since 2-3 weeks we have the problem that ntp query failed with error 256 (in both fabrics).

(sometimes it works fine and the time comes from the timeserver and minutes later he switched to local time) The timeserver looks OK because also 1000 serversystems get their time from the timeserver and they look good.

Are their any ideas?

FOS ist 6.2.1b on all Switches (DCX Backbone, 4/64, 4/32 etc...)

Re: NTP Query failed

I have this exact same issue.  I've setup both of my DCX-4S Switches to use our NTP Server to sync time.  For the most part, it works, but about 3 - 6 times a day I get this error in the switch logs.

Also, it appears to query once per minute.  Is there any way to dial the frequency down?  That's way too aggressive IMO.

If anybody knows how to resolve the errors and/or dial down the NTP query frequency I'd be appreciative.  Thanks!

Re: NTP Query failed

Re: NTP Query failed

What is exactly your error message?
What is FOS level on switch?
