by Baptiste Assmann on ‎01-19-2017 10:05 AM - last edited on ‎05-16-2017 04:55 AM by PaulWallace (1,806 Views)

Letsencrypt.org is a free and automated Certificate Authority that makes it easy for organizations to secure websites. It can set up TLS certificates very easily, limited to one domain name (i.e., www.domain.com) and has the advantage that it supports both RSA and ECC certificates.

In this article, we show an example of how to configure Let’s Encrypt to work with Brocade vADC, including:

  • Issue new certificates
  • Automated renewal of certificates
  • Install certificates and tools

No ADC should be an Island

by Matthew_Moore on ‎07-21-2016 09:17 AM (1,985 Views)

Instead of this dystopian sprawl, what if we could use a single license that is based on traffic throughput and allows us to allocate as many ADC functions as we like tied back to that throughput allocation, managed by that single license?

Brocade vTM, as a software ADC can be deployed on any x86 cloud platform. It's so simple to deploy on top of Linux or Solaris, that I'm sure people have been spinning up vTMs on Googles Compute Engine for a while now. But with the release of vTM 10.3 in December we now have an official Virtual Appliance available. It's probably about time some one published an Auto-Scaling driver too....

Brocade Services Director 2.2 released

by PaulWallace ‎09-17-2015 02:45 AM - edited ‎09-17-2015 02:46 AM (819 Views)

Brocade Services Director 2.2 (formerly known as SteelApp Services Controller) introduces a different approach for license management for application delivery controllers, and manages the complete lifecycle of Brocade vADC products. The Brocade Services Director lets you automatically provision, deploy, license, meter, and manage the inventory of thousands of ADCs in an “as-a-service” model, using the Brocade Virtual Traffic Manager as the core application delivery platform. The solution also enables a new consumption model for customers deploying ADC services. This allows ADC services to be scaled elastically and be right-sized on demand to suit each application in your data center, offering high density, full isolation, and multi-tenancy capabilities.
